All right, I've been hearing a lot of hoopla from the Kansans back home about the sheer amount of snow that fell on Christmas Eve. I get it--I saw some pictures and thought the drifting was pretty good. I saw some pictures and couldn't help but roll my eyes and giggle. I remember when I thought 8 inches of snow was a lot. Ahhh---the good old days! Yet, here we are on the 2nd day of 2010 with day 3 of solid snow. We're looking at about 5 out there right now, steadily falling in teeny tiny flakes. We're expecting 9 total by the end of tonight with another 5 to 7 expected by the end of Sunday. Yes, if you do the math on that one, it is slightly more than 8. :) At least this is a calm, steady snow. You can see more than a foot in front of you. It isn't really drifting. It isn't wet and sloppy. So, it could be much worse. I just pray this snow doesn't prevent the kids from returning to school on Monday. It is definitely time they go back!
