Rule of life #47

....no sooner than you have finished mopping the kitchen floor a child will dump a full cup of chocolate milk all over the floor.

We are having company this weekend and I am trying desperately to ignore my sore throat and aching head to get the house clean. I have to admit I have been slacking considerably since Janette's visit. Really only doing the bare minimum. But, guests mean furniture must be dusted....or in the case of the couch, have a week's worth of folded laundry removed from it and put away. Dishes must be done (this entails reorganizing the cabinets to fix Andy's "helping" with dishes when he was home last week). Floors must be swept again, and mopped--twice apparently.

I may have to tie the kids to chairs for the afternoon to keep them from trashing the living room but I'm determined not to be rushing around at the last minute to get it all done. Wish me luck.
