Halloween 2009

This Halloween we were lucky enough to have Daddy home to go trick or treating with us. That alone made the day wonderful. Add on to this unseasonably warm weather, rain that held off until after 8 pm, the new-found knowledge of which neighborhood to go trick or treating in, and 3 kids old enough to understand the holiday and the fun, and it was the best Halloween we've had so far, hands down.

Tory was a witch. We went back and forth for a while on whether she was going to be a good witch or a bad witch. Eventually we settled on good, though I have to question that--she has a remarkable evil sounding cackle. :) Olivia was a bumble bee. She was concerned people would ask her why she didn't have a stinger. I told her to tell them she stung the last person who asked her where her stinger was so she didn't have it anymore. :) Miss Chloe was a Pretty Pretty Princess. Let me tell you, she was very close to being a fairy kitty princess, but at the last minute decided to stick with her original plan and be Cinderella.

So, around 5:30 pm we loaded up the girls in the Tahoe and headed over to Cathedral Oaks--along with everyone else in the city of Biddeford. This neighborhood really goes all out. Haunted houses and decorations and so much candy that in only one hour of trick or treating the girls pretty much filled their pumpkins. By 6:30, Chloe was done. DONE. She sat down on the sidewalk, put her little chin in her little hands and said "I think it's time to go home. I have enough candy" <3 So, we slowly started making our way back to the car, loaded up and headed home.

Thanks, by the way, Dad, for the tradition of charging a fee--Andy and I enjoyed our two pieces per kid fee candy!
