Monday morning the girls and I headed over to Windom Elementary for new student orientation. It was great. There were about 20 new kids total there. We were filled in on all the fun events, rules, and basics of Windom then the kids were given tours by other kids from Windom. Tory was lucky enough to be paired up with a girl who will be in her class this year. Chloe and Livy had older tour guides but still were shown all the important places in the school, their lockers, the lunch room, their classrooms, etc. While they were off on the tour I went through Parent Volunteer Orientation. Yes, you have to APPLY to be a parent volunteer at this school. LOL Hope I get accepted.
Long story short, I am glad we ended up in the Orchard Park school system and in particular Windom Elementary. I think it is going to be a wonderful school year!
