Kansas in a nut-shell

It seems like so long ago I piled the girls in to the Tahoe and took off in the wee hours of the morning of July 7 to begin our journey to Kansas. I have to say, the girls were totally awesome on the way there. They were just as excited as I was to get there and to meet little Miss Ember they hardly made me stop at all. We made it to Ohio the first night in just about 13 hours and made it from Ohio to Kansas the next day in only about 12.5. The girls literally only made me stop 3 times the 2nd day and we were lucky enough to miss all major rush hours and avoided road work.

I can't even put in to words what it was like to see Ember for the first time. I've seen plenty of pictures and videos, but it just doesn't do her justice. She has this personality that is so funny and makes all these hilarious facial expressions. She is so pudgy, but not too pudgy. She definitely didn't realize she was only 2 months old. She is a joy and an angel and I miss her like mad.

Also while we were there we were able to go to Andy's cousin Jessica's wedding. Saw some family we've not seen in a while and watched Jessica begin a new chapter of her life. She was a gorgeous bride. We were able to go to the Dunn Family reunion this visit as well, and shared the title of "Farthest Travelled" with Hillary Klumpe (whatever her married name is now)'s family from Oregon. We went to a baby shower for Andrea and baby Rowan and two for Amanda and baby Ryker. We saw aunts and cousins and grandparents and great-grandparents and helped Janette and Albert pack/clean for their big move to Seneca. We went to Manhattan to see Aunt Becky and her new apartment, even met her boyfriend Brad at last.

I took hundreds of pictures and honestly most of them are of Ember. :) I'll post a few...hope you enjoy.
