If there is one thing I've learned this weekend it is that Chloe+4 yrs old=stubborn. That girl wouldn't stay still for a single picture on her actual birthday. Not one. We spent October 16 first at dance class where Chloe does ballet and tap on Saturday mornings. After class we came back home, picked up Andy (who was busy working on siding the house), and hopped over to Tin Tin Buffet for a birthday lunch of Chinese food! Chloe had a blast, though I really think she ate more jello and ice cream than any significant Chinese. After lunch we took her to Walmart, birthday money in tow, where she bought herself a Barbie Fashion Fairytale doll and a few other small items. A few days before she'd bought a Polly Pocket set, a pair of Lightning McQueen jammies, and a baby zhu zhu pet with other birthday money she'd received in the mail.
Her Barbie party was October 17 and was her first big party. She was so excited all day she just kept hopping around and asking how much longer it was til her party! We had a good turn-out of friends and I think we all had a good time as we enjoyed cake, beat a pinata, played a few games, and snacked on fruit and crackers. After the party as we snuggled on the chair she told me it was the best day of her entire life. <3
