It's funny, really, that when I am in Maine in the summer I think to myself "Oh, it's hot today". It seems I have completely forgotten the state from which we come. Summer highs of 95 in Maine are insane, yes. Summer highs of 95 in Kansas are average. Maybe even below average depending on the month. So the past few days of upper 90's to low 100's here at home are melting me and my northern-born kiddos. Thank goodness for Aunt Annie and Aunt Netty and their pools. Maybe next time I will get good sunscreen and we won't all fry!
