Shame on Google!

Did anyone see their tribute to Veterans on their logo? Very nice upon first glance. Oh, but what is this? No Coast Guard. I wrote a letter:

As a proud spouse of an active duty Coastie, I am curious as to why the Coast Guard was not included in your tribute to Veterans? The Coast Guard is the oldest military branch in America. The Coast Guard has participated in every single American war. The Coast Guard's activity is not dependent upon times of war or times of peace. Each and every day of each and every year, there are members of the United States Coast Guard risking their lives to protect and serve our great nation. This very second there are members of the United States Coast Guard patrolling the coasts of Bahrain, trying to make it that much more safe for the soldiers and sailors of other branches who are also serving overseas. As we speak, somewhere there is a smallboat team member boarding the boat of a suspected terrorist or drug trafficker. There is a team of well trained Coasties performing a search and rescue operation. There are ice breakers making way for water traffic that keeps our way of life running, no matter what the season. There are buoy tenders maintaining aids to navigation that prevent senseless accidents and deaths. Am I being led to believe that Google does not find these services to be important? Because by not including the 5th military branch on your logo, you are screaming out to America that the Coast Guard does not matter. And I take very serious offense to that. You owe my husband an apology.
